This is my first build so I am still learning, please bear with me. My computer worked perfectly fine for about a month or so when one day it restarted on me and now does it anytime I try to use it. I got a message that ASUS had detected power surges on the boot-up screen. If I only use the internet I can go about an hour or two without it restarting but if I try to play a game that is more taxing it will restart within minutes. I disabled the power surge protecting on the BIOS screen which so far seems to work however I wanted to also get some opinions on possible solutions to this as it wasn't doing this before and to make sure I'm not doing something wrong.

Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-V LX
Processor: Intel i3-3210 CPU
Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 5670
PSU: Cooler Master eXtreme 500W

The 500w Coolermaster(aka crapmaster) extremes have a low build quality and have issues with ripple and noise. I would suggest replacing it with a better quality unit. Something in the top 3 teirs of this list http://www.eggxpert.com/forums/thread/323050.aspx would be better.
