Homebuilt Test Won't Work

I put in the memory, cpu and graphics card and hooked it to the monitor. The power supply plug is plugged in, the switch is on O and both the ATX cables are plugged in. Graphics card is plugged in. But nothing will turn on when I try, not even the PSU. I tried the screwdriver trick, I tried putting in the power to the case button and still nothing. Shouldn't the PSU atleast turn on even if something is wrong elsewhere?

Have you tried the paper clip test on the power supply?

hello their it sound like the same problem happen to me when i first build my PC.
because i didn't plugged 8 pin cable from the psu to the motherboard it should be right next to you CPU cooler fan

Also, the "O" position on the PSU is "OFF". You won't get any power like that. You should switch it to "l" immediately.

I don't have a paperclip, the 8 pin is plugged in, and I tried both l and O just incase already.

You don't need to try "O" anymore ;-)
