thats an intel board. for the amd fx you want an am3+ socket motherboard for AMD processors.
but it should be able to run the gtx760 no problems

Yes, the 760 will run fine on the P7P55D-E LX , have no idea where the comment above about an FX CPU is from

Tradesman that was because i put if an amd will be compatible with my p7p55d-e lx, but is only compatible with intel platform, that was an nonsense question and i delete it

he asked if that board was compatible with amd fx-8320. but he edited it.
[edit] and for power supply. you will need at least an 8pin pcie power plug. some power supplies have them but most dont. i would recommend this power supply.

Thought I was losing my mind 
Calls for for a minimum of 500 watts with at least 30 Amps on the 12 volt rail, not sure of budget but a good buy here:

Brand, model #, Amps on the 12volt rail - may well be a 'peak' 600 and only offer continual at 475 or whatever and only have 25 or so amps - need to check the important specs
