I'm building several new computers. I want to give each computer an SSD as the boot drive, and the HD as the storage. How do I go about doing it? I'm not talking about ssd caching because these motherboards do not have that ability. I want all downloads, steam folder, installed programs, etc to be on the Hard Drive and windows and it's necessary files to be on the SSD.

When you install something manually put it where you want .... that's what I been doing since W4WGs in early 1990s ....just say no to what windows wants .... this will do some of it.

Though if you asking this question, you might be better off with a hybrid..... then ya have best of both worlds and no worries about what goes where..... unless of course the 1/2 second slower that the hybrid boots as compared to the separate SSD / HD is a problem for your users. Have identical boxes here....one with hybrid, one with separate SSD and HD .... no one can tell difference...
