Ive saved up about 1800 for a pc. Ive picked out all of the parts, and i made an Intel system, and an AMD system. Im not sure which one is best for me.

Heres the Intel: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/JoseyMG/saved/2eyK

Heres the AMD: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/JoseyMG/saved/2erx

They are basically the same thing, except intel doesnt have an SSD, and a different gfx card and on the AMD side, im going to wait on the graphics until the Never Settle Bundle with BF4. So, heres what i plan on doing. Gaming. Lots of it. Video editing. lots of that too. But its stuff like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ykElFxM5Ik

Simple Sony Vegas velocity and just render it out and put it in After Effects for well. Effects. Ill also implement simple 3ds max renders as you saw in the vid. Nothing fancy. Rendering time is not really big issue between the processors. Im coming from a Dual Core 2.4Ghz Laptop and rendering on this blows. A 3 min vid would take about 15-18 minutes. So just any upgrade will be amazing for meBF4 will be optimized towards AMD. At least they are saying. Anyway, Haswell runs hot as fudge, even if you have good cooling. This is my first pc so im not looking to upgrade anytime soon, probably when Skylake comes out but thats really far away. So, just keep that in mind as well.
Im kind of liking the AMD system more than haswell so i want to get some peoples opinions

yup, i second not getting that expensive of a motherboard. unless you are planning on nitrogen o/c ing you wont see any overclock benefit from that mobo. get one that has the features that you want. if it is the audio quality you want then a $50 sound card will work well.

if those arent the reasons you chose that motherboard then why did you choose it?

unless you are getting those fans for looks then you can save a bit on those.

with that money saved i would buy an 840 ssd or something similar. putting your editing software on the ssd will give you arguably the best performance per dollar upgrade.

i would get the 770. if you want to get an amd card then wait a month or 2 and the 8xxx series will probably be coming out in that time...

Keep in mind that i have the peripherals in there, so its actually about 200$ less. About 1600 for the computer itself

I plan to OC a lot, and Haswell isnt good at that. What im worried about is the temps getting too high :/ 1866 ram allows for faster render times, not by much, but it helps. And its actually cheaper than 1600 for some reason

Im not really feeling the expensive corsair stuff with the fancy heatsinks, i might go with the regular corsair vengeance, if i can find them on sale, ill just have the Gskill for now. I think overall its mostly an aesthetics thing

you dont need 850 watts. you could runa titan with 500 watts.

i reccomend this power supply - http://pcpartpicker.com/part/seasonic-power-supply-ss660xp2

awesome ribbon cables and seasonic is arguably the best power supply manufacturer. im not trying to start a debate, corsair psu's are really good too. this one is cheaper and i personally like these cables better

Thanks for the suggestions, but:
I changed up the motherboard for the Asus Sabertooth Z87, it has all the features i want and has a nice clean look to it. You are right about the sound card. The fans im getting mostly for looks, theyre at the bottom of my priorities list. I also changed the cooler to an h100i, since the Kraken wont fit in my case without some modding,(First build) i dont want to mod anythihing :/) so i decided to getthe h100i so i can also put some SP fans on it and increase airflow. I will get an SSD, but i just want to have all the parts set up so i can start editing/gaming. First time i saw some boot times on an ssd, my reaction was just a little bit like :O
I am going to wait on the next amd gpus, and the power supply is just in case i want to run 2 cards in the future, i dont want to go out and have to buy another one. And that powersupply, the "corsair" on that i have, is actually made by seasonic. :)
