I will play Counter-Strike: Source, Garry's Mod, Team Fortress 2, Trouble in

Terrorist Town, Half-Life 2 and other Source Games at 1360×768 at the highest

settings, will I get atleast 60 frames per second minimum with this $350 gaming

computer:

GIGABYTE GA-B75-D2V

Intel Pentium G2030 3.0GHz

Kingston HyperX Blu 1×4GB DDR3 1600MHz

MSi GeForce GTX 650 Ti BOOST 1GB GDDR5

Fractal Design Core 1000

Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB

Corsair Builder Series CX430W

So basically if my frame rate drops below 60 at the highest setting, including 8×MSAA and 16×AF on a 1360×768, then something is wrong with my gaming computer? I am asking this, because I want to enable V-Sync (I really hate screen tearing at higher frame rates. I didn't have any mous lag even with a really cheap mouse when V-Sync was enabled with Sapphire Radeon HD 4350 512MB DDR2 in Counter-Strike: Source. I played at the lowest settings with V-Sync + Triple Buffering without any mouse lag.[/quotemsg]

No, if your frames drop, its not that there is something wrong with your comp, it can be a whole bunch of different things like backround tasks, antivirus, etc or indoor/outdoor changes in game, which can cause temporary slowdowns. The figures...

100% it will eat those games, and get you 60fps at whatever ultras settings there are. Source games aren't very demanding by todays standards.

YouTuber said that he gets under 50's with his 5870, i7 920 and 8gb at 1080p highest settings. Probably because he uses 8×MSAA and 1080p?

I find that hard to believe. You can see my specs in my sig, apart from having a better GPU in my rig, his rig is a lot better. I get 60fps at highest in game settings, with 0 drops in FPS. Your CPU, although not a quad core has very similar performance to mine in games. Also you have a 650ti Boost, which is roughly on par (sometimes better) with my GPU.

Yes, the multisampling levels and res will impact performance, but it's a 5 year old game engine, and shouldn't post too much trouble for you. I play at 1680 x 1050, but even if I went to 1080p, Id expect to get the same results.

The figures I gave are guidelines....naturally that changes from machine to machine.
