Hello!
I just finished a new build where I'm using an HDD (2TB) to which I previously cloned my OS and files from an old HDD(320GB) I had. This new HDD (2TB) was never used on my old computer because windows wouldn't recognize it apparently because they both had the same disk number or letter, something like that (Both are Hitachi 2.5" 7200 RPM) since they both had the exact same data.
Now, I ran the HDD it booted perfectly but when I went My Computer it shows:
Why does it shows the HDD as the old 320GB one? - I went into the Disk Management and found 1.5GB Unallocated, so I assigned a letter to it following Windows instructions, except for the formatting part, since right now I don't have something to back my Disk to.
In the Disk Management I see this:
What I am trying to do is migrate de data from my HDD into the SSD which is Disk 0 and leave the HDD for data storage and the SDD to run the OS (Win7) and games.
Thanks in advance!
Note: Right now a message windows popped up saying my Windows Key is invalid, first time this has ever happened to me. This current HDD is a clone from an old one I had with a genuine Windows 7 Key, no idea why it says my Windows Key is invalid.
