I've checked alot of threads including the sticky about all the steps you can take and this didn't help.
I just built this as a backup to my laptop so it's a cheap LGa775 £70 build.
Let me start by saying that the psu is utter crap, it came free with the £20 case but I didn't see this as a problem if I'm only running a cpu and one hard drive, surely even a cheap 500w can handle this?
I would usually use a more expensive psu but as I just mentioned, it's running just the cpu and a hard drive.
What else could be the problem? The monitor is working fine.
It did use to make one short beep for the first few times starting it up, now it doesn't make any beeps at all.
I'm returning the case and psu as soon as Dabs respond but I just thought I'd ask if you think it is the psu.
