Hey guys, i just bought the asus p8z77-v from a friend, and i already have a crucial ballistix tactical tracer 1866 ram.
I just found out that those 2 inst compatible and the memOK cant fix it. (I tried everything i swear)
Funny thing is, i checked crucial's compatibility test (in their website) and they said that my ram is guaranteed compatible to my mobo, is flashing the bios from a usb stick might make my ram work? And how risky it is? (Flashing bios from flshdrives)
Thanks!

Solution
For the process, download the latest bios from Asus website and copy it to USB flash drive. Then connect it to usb port and press the BIOS reset button for 3 sec power supply connected. It will be done. Before copying bios, extract the file if it is zipped.

NOTE: Don't do any bios update unless its necessary. Bios update will never improve performance like driver. As it is potential risk, update is not recommended. Do update if you have hardware issue or need better CPU support. And I cannot guarantee that the RAM will work. Be careful.
