Hello friends of the community,

The title explains well my question.

I'm currently running:

CPU: FX-6100 6-cores @ 4.2
GPU: Sapphire HD7950 OC ed. Vapor-X @ 1150/1450Mhz
MoBo: ASUS m5a78l-m lx3
RAM: 2x Kingston 1333 4Gb (8Gb total)
PSU: NZXT HALE82N 750w 80 Plus Bronze
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate (x64)

I mainly use the PC for very high quality gaming, and i'm anxious to see my rig handling next-gen games (what i pretend).

So the question is: Is an upgrade to a FX-6300 (6350?) worth? Would i note a significant difference?

PS: Do you see something more priority to change?

Thanks a lot.

I don't think it is worth it and your board does not support 125w FX CPU's. Only way to get any significant difference for next gen games would be new board and CPU. It all depends on what you are willing to spend.

I live in Argentina and prices here are quite different. But could you suggest some MoBo and CPU of mid-range price? I'm looking to the FX 8350, what do you think?

An FX 8350 would be better than your current CPU now and going forward. If you can get an FX 8320, I suggest saving your cash and going with it. It is an 8350 with a lower multiplier setting. What motherboards are available in your area? You will need one with 125w FX cpu support.

The Asrock 970 and 990 extreme4 are decent boards for the $$$.
