SLI Problems during application runs

I have been trying to integrate SLI into my configuration and have been failing...miserably. Whenever an application launches that uses SLI I get screen flickering and a crash of the driver to desktop. I have tried most procedures for troubleshooting out there but I am pretty perplexed at this point:

1. I have tried both video cards in both slots by themselves to eliminate DOA cards.
2. I have tried 2 different SLI bridges.
3. Clean installs of different drivers, reformat of HD, reinstall of windows.

Last night I decided to give it another go, and turned up the voltage and gained some stability, i.e. the application launched in SLI with the nvidia SLI indicator (green vertical bar). I tabbed out of the game and went back in and the game crashed afterwards with the same screen flickering defects that would crash before the voltage change. This happens in all SLI enabled games including Total War Napolean, as well as BF3. The interesting thing is, during Furmark with SLI enabled and multiple exits during the stress test my driver did not crash and was able to complete. I have thought that it might be issues with DX11 so I have reinstalled the games as well, still no dice. Setup is below:

MSI P67A-G45 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
TX650 PSU
Asus DirectCU 660 GTX (x2)
8gb RAM
Windows 7 64bit

Let me know if you need any other information. Thanks in advance!

After the voltage change,(+.45) and the game would be playing fine. I would hit windows to go back into homescreen, do whatever, click on the application and the app would crash as soon as the window for the game opened.

Previously to the voltage change, I would start a game and as soon as the game would start SLI indicator, there would be a crash to desktop.
