I bought 2x2GB ram when I built my pc and a year later I bought the exact same memory pair again, so basically i have 4x2GB.
I've been using these 8GB for a while now and it works perfectly but i noticed this strange thing:

My computer recognizes all of the 8GB and i set the frequency at 1600Mhz in the BIOS.
Specs:
Windows 7 64bit
Intel i5 3570k
Gigabyte GA-Z68AP-D3 (rev. 1.0) mobo
ram 2x http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f3-12800cl9d-2gbnq

This isn't exactly a problem, but i'd like to know why this is?

Solution
Believe the NQ series was originally released back in July of 2008, and the SPD and defaulyt boot speed went from 1066, to 1333 in around 2010 then up to 1600 just in the last year or so (to 1600 was for Haswell)

I don't think so:

There's no bug, and nothings wrong, it's exactly as it should be.....A) you are running all 4 at 1600 and B) the SPD tab is simply showing you the information that is programmed into the the SPD of the sticks - it's info - nothing more - let's the mobo know what the sticks consider optimal settings....nothing to worry about :)

Hmm, interesting, considering the ram sticks are exactly the same model.
Thanks.

I find it hard to believe, because i remember that i especially wanted to get 1600Mhz or faster ram when i first built my pc.
But then again, i am not a computer expert, so...

anyway, here's one more picture, the stick's with the black pcb are the older ones.

Ok, I took a closer look at my ram sticks. I noticed that the older sticks have "2011Dec" and the newer sticks have "2012Feb" printed on them.
I believe your answer is true and my curiosity is now satisfied.
Thank you!
