Hey Frnd -Hi ! I need ur help in solving a pc issue.
I use onboard graphics nd It seems like there is some issue with the
Onboard Graphics or its Driver.
The pc issue started wid "Yellow Vertical Lines" at Startup, where press 'Del'
to enter bios etc options are given n then pc continuous wid boot but
after the windows Xp loading logo screen a "Light Blue screen" appears
for few seconds nd the pc automatically restarts again n again.
I checked all cable connections, Ram, fans etc all r working fine n all the
leds -hdd,dvd writer n power led r on... after checking all i re-installed
windows xp but still at startup yellow vertical lines appeared but this
time windows xp loaded successfully then i installed the drivers one by one
n restarted the pc after installing each driver no problem appeared in loading
the win xp except the yellow lines still appeared at startup but
at last when i installed the driver for "onboard graphics-VGA" n restarted the pc
the yellow lines appeared as usual but this time again after the win xp loading
logo the light blue screen appeared for few seconds nd after that a dark blue
screen with pink vertical lines appeared along wid the below message

as asked in d above message i restarted my pc couple of times but each time
the same above error message appeared, but i can still load win xp by using
the "Last known Good Configuration" because it automatically uninstalls
the onboard graphics drivers, which fixes the blue screen n d above error msg
issue but not d yellow lines at startup.
At installing the graphic driver again the same above error message appears.
According to the above msg The problem seems to be caused by the following
file: igxprd32............but thats strange because it was always there even when
everthing was fine. i tried installing latest n older version of graphic driver one by
one but still d same above msg appeared in each case.
It gets confusing when some say that if d onboard graphic chip which is integrated
in the chip known as north bridge is faulty then there will be no display at all.
but some say that even if d onboard graphics chip gets faulty the cpu still manages
to load the os n even play videos etc but d display is not as good as it is when using
the onboard graphics chip.
I'm not sure who's right may be u can tell me...
my pc is unable to use onboard graphics but it still plays video but not wid good
quality as it used to when using onboard graphics....i need to know is it the cpu
playing d videos in my pc coz d drivers for onboard graphics have been uninstalled
as it gives error which i explained above....
I don't have additional graphic card to verify. I'm not able to decide whether its
the onboard graphics chip (North bridge) which needs a replacement or its bcoz
of something else. The above error msg also shows some Technical Information
about the error, which if u can understand might help in finding out the exact
cause... pls help...will be waiting for ur very valuable solution for this issue...
