Hi there,
I'm looking to build my own rig soon-ish that can adequately handle new games in decent quality for both enjoyment and recording purposes. Of course, I'm also using this for browsing the net, downloading and watching shows, etc. so it's kind of an all-rounder rig as well.
Approximate Purchase Date: I don't have one at the moment, but probably around November to December (when prices go down for Black Friday, Christmas, Boxing Day and such)
Budget Range: ~$800, $950 max
System Usage from Most to Least Important: As previously explained, it'll be mainly used for gaming and slight video editing here and there, nothing too fancy. Recording-wise, I have an Elgato Game Capture HD Recorder so it won't be any trouble. Aside from that, I also want to use it as an all-rounder rig as well (movies, internet, music, etc.)
Parts Not Required: Mouse (I have my Cooler Master Storm Spawn )
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Not really too picky, I live near an NCIX and Memory Express and I also don't mind ordering parts online for the items less likely to break during shipping (RAM, CPU Cooler if necessary, case fans, etc.)...I'm not too comfortable ordering something like a motherboard, CPU or even a case online, especially if they're DOA since the RMA will be a hassle.
Country: Canada
Parts Preferences: I lean towards Intel and NVidia but if an AMD rig can serve the same purpose and performance for even cheaper, then great!
Overclocking: Not at the moment, this is my first build. I may experiment with OC later on
SLI or Crossfire: Yes. I won't be using SLI/Crossfire right away but I'd like to have the ability to do so for future
Monitor Resolution: At your discretion. Bigger is better? A modest sized monitor? (I'm not considering including the monitor in my budget but if it can fit, great!)
Additional Comments:
I don't really care much for having an SSD so I don't really want one on my build.
I have an experimental build I whipped up on pcpartpicker but it's going way over budget. Are there any places I can scrimp on? How is the balance?

Going with the Zalman Z11 Plus HF will (depending on how I feel about it in the end) make me have to buy a USB 3.0 motherboard header adapter. I'm also considering a Cooler Master Storm Enforcer as an alternative case.
I'm also planning on buy LED Fans for the case, I kind of want ones that has a switch to change colours since I'm mainly interested in Red and/or Green lights...blue is just to obnoxiously bright during late nights.
Thanks in advance! I can't wait to see what everyone has to say about this.
Regards!
