What's best? A6-3500 or A6-5400K?

Hey.

I'm building a computer for media consumption (1080p in mind) and i'm hesitating between those two.

The 3500 is a tri-core, with 3MB of cache, and has the Radeon HD 6530D.
The 5400 is a dual core, with 1MB of cache, and has a Radeon HD 7540D.

In benchmarks the 5400 is better all-round, and it has a better core, but those 3 cores seem to be better than dual.

So i'm asking for your opinion on the subject. Which is best?

I'm wondering if you can afford atleast another $70 gpu becuase I found a very good cou that uses the same fm2 chipset. Athlon x4 750k, originally suppose to have a gpu intergrated but instead is just disabled, with a price of $75 in some places

That's a very interesting comparison the A6 3500 has better multi threaded performance and the A6 5400K has better single core performance. So to answer you fully, The A6 3500 would be the better choice. That extra core makes it perform better than the 5400 in almost every scenario.
