3TB hard drive now only recognized as a 2TB hard drive cannot find the missing TB

Hey guys I really hope you can help I bought a 3TB hard drive and set it up now it only comes up as 2tb and there is no other partition with the other missing data even in the discwizard software that seagate gives you when I go to allocated the missing data it says that my disk is too small im not sure what to do ive tried everything ive seen online even formating it to GPT did nothing but made me lose data and im all out of ideas I would really like some help on how to find the missing TB and how to get it back, ive been trying for hours now, and google isnt helping I also have not seen anyone else with this problem online any help would be appreciated thank you

Right click My Computer -> click Manage -> expand Storage -> click Disk Management.

Take a screenshot of that and upload it here.

Exactly my point..... MBR only good to 2TB .... you need GPT ....did you read the article ?

Choice No. 1 - Partition your HD to Partitions < 2TB i.e. 1TB D:\ ..... 1 TB E:\ .... 1TB F:\ using MBR

Choice No 2 - Partition your single 3TB drive as GPT

The problem is there is no allocated data to change it to GPT and how do I do the first option.

yeah im not sure I want to change ti to dynamic if it cant be changed back.

How'd we get into dynamic....pick GPT not dynamic

I had to set it to GPT then restart my comp and its now recognized as 3tb then I made a new volume and its now working thank you!!
!
