Hi guys,

I'm going to be building a new PC soon and my CPU will be an i3 3220. I am new to PC building ad just wanted someone else's opinion. I just want to know if This PSU (COOLER MASTER ELITE 500W) will be ok for a short while. I am not going to be adding a Graphics Card yet but when I do I'll probably get a Corsair PSU when I do as I have heard Cooler Masters PSU's are not very good quality. The reason I'm considering is because I can get it bundled with the K350 case. Basically I just want to know if this a very bad decision or a can get a better deal on a case and PSU.

It's a bad decision. You shouldn't ever skimp on the power supply no matter what the reason. The Cooler Master Elite series are not very reliable NOT RECOMMENDED. If you have one, you should strongly consider replacing it ASAP. These can damage your computer, and often cannot put out the power that they're rated for.If you do get it only use 75% or less of labeled wattage) as that's really all it can handle.I strongly suggest you don't buy it.

Ok I'll look for a better deal. I just thought it wouldn't be as bad if I wasn't running it with a GPU. I knew these weren't very good anyway. but even if I do end up buying it I wouldn't put a graphics card in it.

Thanks.
