Hey guys, i recently found the need to upgrade my graphics card so i can have a bit better performance for the games that I do play. I was restricted to not play higher-end games on PC because i simply cannot play it with my current PC, and I have a console for that. Recently, I picked up Bloodline Champions, and to even get a moderately desirable performance i need to put windows mode on, and every graphics settings on the lowest setting and I don't want to have to buy a new PC. So please help a computer newbie (I have never even opened the case to a computer) upgrade his graphics card :) . And please tell me if this is the only thing I need to do to get good performance on some games.

I currently have a eMachines ET1810-03r with an
- Intel Pentium processor E2210
- NVIDIA Geforce 7050 Integrated
- 360 GB Hard Drive
- 3 GB DDR2 memory

Budget: I'll settle for around $150 tops (If I REALLY need to spend more to boost performance, i will)

Usage: Sleek and crisp performance for games, I don't care about running it at it's highest graphics settings. I'll play a game on it's lowest setting as long as it performs well.

What's the best option for me?

According to this:

http://reviews.cnet.com/desktops/emachines-et1810-03r-p...

You have an empty PCIe x16 slot, that's where you put the video card and a 250 Watt Power Supply.

My first idea is $100 for a video card and $50 for a new power supply and see what others have to offer.

Okay, so i'm considering getting a 500 Watt power supply along with Radeon HD 7770 graphics card, anyone else have any other recommendations? before I make the purchase?

I would just get an ASUS HD 7750 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007RFYEQW/ref=as_li_q... The only other thing I would do is get a whole new computer. I wouldn't invest more than $100 in your system.

I understand, but are you comfortable with the 250 Watt power supply?

If that question was directed to me, i'm not comfortable with it as of now because i cannot upgrade my graphics card without a higher power supply, but it has sustained me for awhile since I was not playing games that require that many resources. Now i'm on the edge of deciding to simply buy another computer or just spend around $130-150 to upgrade this one. Anyone know of some good cheap gaming computers? Most viable ones that i've seen cost $800+

You have to enter your email address, but if you do, at Newegg.com you get $10 with Promo code ACPU10 and a $20 rebate card.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Note: Promo code ends 8/28

You could pair it with a GTX 650 for $99.99 after $20 rebate

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

The card is 6.7 inches long, so you want to check to see if have room for it. It should fit, but best to check.
