So I've had these two Ram sticks for about ten years now.. and they're starting to go bad so I decided to buy New ram sticks for my motherboard

My old motherboard died out so I ended up buying a new board.

^ That's the board I currently have right now

A few days ago I purchased two of these,
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

I installed them, the PC boots up and runs but there's no display on my monitor.. I switched them around and tested each stick and the computer turned on fine but still no display.

So I switched back to my old ram sticks on both slots and it powered on and I got display.. so I'm honestly stuck at a standstill right now, my Windows 7 is 64bit and the motherboard says it is capable of 8GB , those two sticks combined make 4gb.

I'm a newbie still when it comes to upgrading hardware.. so is there anyone that can help me out here?

Edit : My OLD ram sticks, my dinosaurs as I call them are..

sounds like maybe the ram is incompatible which is weird. normally gskill ram works in everything.

but i did find this ram on the list of compatible rams from the asrock website.

gskill http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

and this kingston is also compatible too http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Can you explain to me the differences between my current G.Skills and the ones you currently listed?
I'm sorry I'm really new at all this tech stuff so I'm not sure what numbers to look at .

Try resetting the CMOS, then try with a single stick in slot 1 (closest to CPU) if that works add the seconds stick and raise the DRAM voltage to 1.9, should never buy single sticks to mix together, should have bout a set, that way they are tested to play together.
