Hi

I'm trying to learn how to build my own computer and I'm trying to figure out how to pick out and what are some good options for a graphics card. My motherboard is a ASUS P8Z77-V PRO LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with a i5 3750k processor. I'm not a gamer but I like to edit home videos.

More about : building time

Best solution

a b V Motherboard
a b U Graphics card

You'd be better off getting the i7 3770k and going with a lower end gpu like a nVidia GTX 760 as you'll benefit more from the hyperthreading on the i7. How much ram are you getting?

I'm getting 16GB of RAM. I'm sort of stuck with the I5 since I bought it a couple of months ago and then had to put this project on hold because of work. That being the case what would work best for the I5?

Majority if not all the video editing software are mostly reliant on your CPU thats why the hypethreading cpus are much more desirable. GTX 760 or an AMD 7950 are decent value GPUs, unless your pockets are deeper, then by all means go crazy and spend more =)
