i have an inspiron 1545, and i would like to know if there are any processors that are worth while to get as an upgrade. i currently have a intel celeron 900 @2.2ghz. are there any upgrades available, also, what socket is it.

I am having a similar problem . . download CPU -z i t will give you the exact model, chipset, socket type etc of your laptop. then find out what cpu's are compatible with your chip set etc .

Have successfully replaced Celeron 900 CPU with a T9600 on an Inspiron 1545.
CPU was very cheap and the computer is no longer dragging it's feet over simple tasks.
