Hey guys,

Just got this computer up and running and so far Ive got avast for an antivirus and other basic software to monitor gpu, cpu etc. I've heard good things about ccleaner, Im just hoping it wont slow down my computer or delete something important in my files. Also if anyone knows of any other nice software to add to the desktop whether its for music, I'm interested in digital design as well so I'm thinking of buying something off steam. But yea any recommendations would be great and especially advice on ccleaner.

Be sure to go through the list of things that CCleaner will clean up before running it. Its default settings are a bit zealous and it will basically wipe all of your browser cookies and history (and by extension, any logged in sessions you have with websites) from every browser on your system, among other things. It also has a registry cleaner component but that's not really necessary. Registry cleaners are a gimmick.

It certainly won't slow down your system.
