Hi. I'm stepping up (or down depending on your thoughts) to a 3 monitor setup. So, 5768 x 1080. I was originally going to pick up the GTX 770 (http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Classified-Dual-Link-Graphics/dp/B00DBPU8B2/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1377312427&sr=8-7&keywords=gtx+770) and assumed / hoped it would run ultra settings on all of today's popular games. The more I read the more I realize my frame rate will likely be quite low on such settings. It seems to me that I need 2 of these cards run in SLI to accomplish my goals of ultra settings across 3 monitors.

I've read this site extensively prior to posting this but I just want to confirm my beliefs before I bang up my wallet even more.

Also, I currently have a Seasonic power supply of 620w (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003HE260I/ref=oh_details_o08_s01_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I also assume from what I'm reading that I'll need larger power supply. I've read on this site everything from 850 - 1200w. I don't mind some future proofing in terms of size b/c every summer or so I get the itch to add new parts to my build.

Thoughts are very much appreciated. Thank you.

Gabe

Yes, I would go SLI, unless you're okay with lowering settings here and there. Below are some charts from Guru3d to give you an idea of how much the SLI option will help. Guru3d also recommends a 700-800 watt PSU.

It's kind of crazy to imagine the following - purchase two GTX 770's and run in SLI. So, I'm ok on the 5760x1080 today, but as games come out over the next year I would imagine that by say next summer I'll be running into some "trouble" again.

I guess if you want to play on 5760x1080 and ultra settings you just have to be prepared to shell out a lot of money - more than I had budgeted currently. Some backgrounds will have to go I guess !

Thanks everyone for the help. I'm going to do some research re: power supplies now.
