I just moved into a new apartment and had my internet installed today. When I plug in my internet suddenly nothing on my computer will run. No programs, not networking options, NOTHING. If it wasn't already open it will not open and if it was open, it freezes. Upon trying to ctrl+alt+del I get a black screen and ~2 mins later i get this
Failure to display security and shut down options
The logon process was unable to display security and logon options when CTRL+ALT+DELETE was pressed. If the operating system does not respond, press ESC or restart the computer by using the power switch.
Now... I have tried
-Safe mode with command prompt
-using "netsh winsock reset"
nothing happens
-Ive followed this thread

Nothing happens.
Even more puzzling to my computer illiterate mind is that if I unplug the ethernet cord and restart... everything is fine.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
