While I'm waiting for Newegg to restock their 7950, I looked around and found the EVGA GTX 660 SC. Just wondering which one was better and by how much? Is it worth paying $40 more for the 7950 Sapphire or should I settle for the 7950 MSI which is $20 more?

Solution
The 660 is a fair bit slower than the 7950.

Newegg says this is in stock: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127667&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=
Cheapest 7950 around too.

Yeah I was originally getting that one, but then everyone said that the Sapphire one is far better than MSI due to clock speeds. Also I heard MSI doesn't have that great customer support. I've also heard the same for Sapphire. In terms of the 660, how many slow is it compared to the 7950

Agreed. Go with the MSI 7950 their twin frozr III cooling is great. Plus the free games not to mention it pretty much the steal of the century for only 220 dollars. By the way 7950's also have huge overclocking potential so if you overclock definitely get the 7950.

It's a good chunk of FPS lower than the GTX 660. They are in different tiers. The AMD equivalent to a gtx 660 is a 7870. So it's basically a tier higher than the GTX 660 for only a couple more bucks.
