What sound card?

Been rocking integrated audio for a while now and have decided to buy a sound card. I have narrowed it down to probably the crative sound blaster Z, but found NO comparisons at all between it and other cards by asus. What is the best audio card for ~100, and what are advantages and disadvantages of them?

Have heard/read Asus Xonar sound cards are pretty decent, but no experience of my own except for Creative Audigy2 years ago. But since then have been using on board myself.

Without a proper side by side, personally would go with Creative.

They've always been the got-to pinnacle for other cards to at least meet at every price point, and are rarely exceeded in terms of quality of sound output, or variability with their IO ports.
