Hello everybody,
My friend wants me to build him a pc. Luckily, a friend of his has a spare Asrock Fatal1ty 990FX Pro motherboard, helping to cut down costs. The issue is, we are interested in picking up the FX 6300/83XX but the motherboard was apparently won in some competition 1.5 years ago, unboxed.
Since it has been sitting on the shelf for a while, I am worried that it will not POST with the newer FX cpu's
I do not have any spare AM3 cpu's to temporarily use. Is it possible to flash it without a cpu?
Any suggestions? (other than buying an am3 cpu temporarily)
