So, my little brother gave me £300 for me to build him his own pc. He said he wants to play BF3, GTA IV and a bit of minecraft on it. Now, I'm not expecting it to be able to run the first two games amazingly, but hopefully at medium graphics settings or higher. Here's the list so far. What should I change to give an optimal gaming experience for him? Stay under £300 and only choose parts from the PCpartpicker website if possible, cheers

it will be a long stretch to play bf3 or gta iv on that pc, the A4 apu is quite under powered for gaming which is why its only 35 quid since its more for office work or browsing net etc.

use this instead http://www.amazon.co.uk/AD740XOKHJBOX-Athlon-Processor-3-20GHz-Technology/dp/B009O40UJO/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1377336105&sr=8-6&keywords=phenom+ii+x4 it has a bit more grunt but you will just need to stretch the budget a touch.

you can also drop the aftermarket cpu cooler, you will not need it, spend the money on a better gpu instead such a this gpu http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sapphire-HD7750-Retail-PCI-E-Graphics/dp/B00761YFPW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1377336577&sr=8-2&keywords=7750 apphire radeon hd 7750

get a 250GB hdd instead of the...

get a 250GB hdd instead of the SSD, the one you chose is tiny and will fill in no time, windows will use half of it on its own and BF3 itself is 17GB on its own also http://www.amazon.co.uk/Western-Digital-Caviar-SATAIII-Internal/dp/B00461K1QW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1377336685&sr=8-2&keywords=250GB+western+digital+blue

slightly cheaper neater looking case with better ventilation and more room http://www.amazon.co.uk/Coolermaster-Elite-334U-Tower-Case/dp/B005Q8TYBC/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1377336923&sr=8-3&keywords=atx+case

drop the cpu cooler you dont need it like i mentioned the processor comes with a stock one which is plenty enough.

also that hdd is meant for Video recorders with the AV being in its name it has less error checking than a normal hdd so will not be very suitable.
