I will be building my first ever computer within the next few months. I have already selected the parts I want to buy, my question is, with the set-up I'm showing you will it be alright to overclock the CPU?

Also, if you think I can improve on this set-up but within the same budget at about £700, it would be much appreciated

Great build, will OC fine. You could perhaps consider a 990fx board, which is a bit faster, and faster ram, which will make it easier to play around with the fsb.
Anyway, very nice parts, so go ahead and have fun!

The MSI 990FXA is a good mobo but a but difficult to play with. The Asus Sabertooth 990FX would be better, though it costs more. Of course you could just stick with the one you planned, which is still a very good board.
