I don't have a RAID system, but have my pc on 24*7 downloading torrents. Performance is not very important but i want a drive that will be able to handle 24*7 use and to install win 7 32-bit on it. The drive has to be very reliable but can't decide between WD Red, Blue, Black and RE4.

Samsung was bought buy Seagate some time ago and these drives are getting hard to come by New.

For a 24/7 operation I would go with an WD RE or Seagate Constellation series drive.
If you you have a good backup solution in place you might want to try a WD Red or Seagate NAS drive but to me these are desktop green drives with modified firmware to work better in raid pairs and do not have the 'enterprise' class hardware.
