What is the bottleneck on my PC

Hi I am new to Toms :D

System Specs:

AMD Phenom II x2 545 @ 3.0 GHz
Nividia GTX 550TI 1.5GB
Kingston HyperX 4GB @ 1333MHz
Asus m4a785td-m evo
Cooler Maaster Extreme 2 525W
Running on a 1080P monitor

I was trying to play Farcry 3 on max, got like 21 FPS which is way to low for me, on lowest settings I get 60 FPS constant.

I saw some videos of guys play this with a GTX550TI 1GB & Intel Core i3-2100 @ 3.10GHz Quad on max with 45FPS

So, is this my CPU bottlenecking my system? if so, what will be the cheapest upgrade, for it? Bear in mind that I would go for something outdated, instead of having to get a new AM3+ Board and a better processor. I was looking at the AMD Phenom II x6 1075T, but couldn't find any in stock really.

I also render a lot of 3D animations, with Maya // Cinema 4D so keep that in mind too.

I am getting myself an extra 4GB of the same RAM. Also is my Graphics card too poor? I am not like a gaming freak but want some eyecandy here and there, I bought it a year ago and don't want to replace it again.

So:

What is the bottleneck
What is the cheapest way of replacing

Thanks a bunch!

If your monitor has an higher refresh rate than your GPU can produce, be sure to turn of vsync as it could give you upto 20 more FPS!

Worked thanks, also updated my drivers :)  Now I am running 30FPS. Still I am going to get a new CPU :)
