HD 7870 CF low fps in every single game?

Hi! I have 2 HD 7870s, and I lag, in every game. Like Saint's row 4, Sprintel Cell Black List, Fac Cry 3, BF3. I overclocked my FX8320 to 4,2 GH/z, but nothing changed. I'm very angry now, I decided, to sell them, and buy a gtx 770. Will it worth? Or can i solve this somehow? The temperatures are all right, the cpu is 35c, the gpus 60c max. Please help!

1. are you using 2 gpu overclocking programs ? e.g msi afterburner and sapphire trixx on same computer if so delete one

2. open gpu overclocking program and overclock the gpu a little

3. i got fx8350 and 7950w/ boost and if i turn up anti aliasing to 8x i and everything else on max out i only get 18-27 fps
so try turning anit aliasing down

4. try searching "7970 metro last light" see how much other people are getting

5. update drivers to 13.8 beta 2

if nothing works reply back to me

could be more of a driver issue, grab the latest amd beta drivers and driver fusion.

uninstall current driver and dont restart.
run driver fusion amd driver cleaner then restart.
install amd driver as custom and only install the display and hdmi drivers and the control centre.

see if this makes a difference.

also if you use avast, get rid of it, it is a system hog and can cause poor performance and other problems.

i would also get ccleaner and run a file clean and then a registry clean multiple times till it finds no more errors. (do this after you uninstall avast if you use it)

install Commodo internet security or AVG instead as good alternatives.

I'm not using two, only catalyst, and afterburner
I tried oc the gpu, but nothing.
I bought two, cuz i wanna play on max.
I have the latest driver installed.
Everybody gets much more fps in crysis 2 for example than me. with the 7870s.

i'm trying the first guys solution first. :D

I have asrock 970 extreme 4, which supports 3 way SLI/CrossFireX and i only use 2 slots. :\

i know that i have a little bottleneck, so i tried the oc. But the funny thing is, that the single card was better.

I must install some other radeon drivers for the cf, or i cannot enable it. is it ok?

you install the driver and it will install the driver for the first card then the second card will be detected which windows comes up asking you to install the driver for it, just let windows install the driver of its choice, it should use the AMD driver you installed for the first card.

did this not happen before? usually you install the driver and one cards detected then windows asks to install the driver for the second card.

Well, it is a little bit better. But not perfect. it's still lagging. Do you think, that saint's row iv is too much for the 7870s?

its still quite a new game so there could still be bugs in the drivers for crossfire, are your other games working ok now in comparison?

also something else you may want to do is check the performance of your 7870's individually incase one of them is faulty if your other games are still a bit off.

I'll try it in bf3. i got 100 fps on low, and on ultra as well. so let's see what this reinstall did.

K. So i was playing bf, and i got a read screen XD I dont know why. but unfortunetely no dmp files :(
Anyways, as i saw, it runs MUCH better, than before. So thanks buddy :D

Now,i allways get this red screen. the game just starts, and the computer is restarting. this is so ducked up..

Yep, only in BF, but in Saint's Row, my computer crashes too. But not the red screen thing.
