Hai. I'm gonna buy myself a new GPU a GeForce GTX 660 to be exact. Which is PCIe 3.0, And my Motherboard that I have now only supports PCIe 1.0(http://www.msi.com/product/mb/GF615M-P33.html#?div=Detail)
So I'm gonna have to buy a new Motherboard as well and I was thinking of http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M5A78LM_LX3/#overview , And now I'm wondering if my new GPU and the Motherboard will work together? If it helps answering the question I have a processor that is AMD Phenom II x4 on my motherboard now. I'm kind of a noob when it comes to compatibility. But I have seen you help many people on here with their questions so ill ask you one.
Thanks in advance /Caroline.

Solution
That m/b will work with the 660, but be advised that it does NOT support pcie 3. That said, pcie 2 will be fine as even high end cards really don't saturate pcie 2.

I have another question, is there a possibility that my GPU wont fit in the computer case if the GPU is too big? I have a midtower.
