Choosing between 3 laptops (two MSI's and one Acer) for school/gaming

In September I'm off to university this means that I have to buy a new laptop and I've found 3 laptops that I find interesting. (I know the sites are in Dutch but I guess you could understand the speccs)

1. MSI GX60 1AC-073NL €879 (http://www.laptopshop.nl/product/303073/category-180891-msi-laptops/msi-gx60-1ac-073nl.html#product_specifications)
15.6 inch, AMD A10 4600, 8Gb RAM, AMD 7970M, 750Gb HDD,

2. MSI GE70 2OE-015NL €1149 (http://www.laptopshop.nl/product/338503/msi-ge70-2oe-015nl.html)
17.3 inch, i7 4700MQ, 8Gb RAM, Nvidia GTX 765M, 750Gb HDD

3. ACER ASPIRE V3-772G-747A1275MAKK €1099 (http://www.laptopshop.nl/product/332862/acer-aspire-v3-772g-747a1275makk.html)
17.3 inch, i7 4702MQ, 12Gb RAM, Nvidia GTX 760m, 750Gb HDD

What will I be using it for? I'm going to study computer science so I'll use it for my study but I also wanted a laptop on which I could play modern games since I'm a pretty heavy gamer.

Now I'm wondering which one do you guys think is bests? From looking at benchmarks the 7970m is a lot more powerful than the cards in the other two laptops but I'm not sure if the CPU is any good?

  1. The first one is the best.
  2. Best answer
    two thinks:

    1) will a 17 inch laptop fit on the school desks?

    2) the 7970M is comparable to a GTX 680M, the 760M and 765M should be the stronger video card.

personally I would get the first one

    1) It will but will take up most of the desk space
    2) yea, but for 300 euro more not sure it's worth it.
  4. I've just been checking a bit more and the AMD A10 4600 severly botllenecks the 7970M, so it probably isn't the best option, not sure why MSI decided to put that CPU together with that GPU.
  5. The AMD A10 4600 APU only comes with a Radeon HD 7660G build in

the same website offers a MSI GX70, which is a 17 inch laptop, at €1249 with a AMD A10 5750M and a Radeon HD 8970
  6. Hmm the GX70 looks cool as well, but I'm afraid that it's out of my price range €1150 really was the maximum I wanted to spend.
  7. if you decide to get a 17 inch laptop I would get the MSI Intel based one
