Hello I'm looking for a laptop/notebook for school. Here's the information below:

1. What is your budget? $600 at most

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering? Really portable, I have a laptop that weighs like 7 pounds and has an external battery pack and kinda sucks to put in my backpack.

3. What screen resolution do you want? Would not prefer a 17 inch it's a bit big to lug around, 15 inch and under is okay.

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop? Portable.

5. How much battery life do you need? 3 hours or so

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?

Minecraft is the most I would play, I have a desktop gaming computer at home.

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)

Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Wordprocessing/Excel/powerpoint, it's mostly for school and work, internet surfing, youtube streaming

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?

at least 300 gigs, 500 would be cool

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.

Newegg, Amazon

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?

Meh, as long as possible, this isn't really a computer I"m going to be gaming with anyways.

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?

Not really needed, optical drive would be cool but most portables don't come with it so I wouldn't be upset.

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.

No preference, but I have had Toshibas in the past that I kinda didn't like.

13. What country do you live in?

United States

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed.

Solution
ASUS A55VD-NS51 Intel Core i5 6GB Memory 500GB HDD 15.6" Notebook Windows 8 64-Bit (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834230987)
Has a Nice i5 in it for Photoshop and Dreamweaver and it even has a Dedicated Video Card in it (Geforce GT610) that will let you play Minecraft on the go. Plus, ASUS support is really good at taking care of it's customers. I hope this Helps!

This is also an option: Acer Aspire V5-472-6852 Intel Core i3 6GB Memory 500GB HDD 14" Notebook Windows 8 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834314180) It's lighter, cheaper, still has a nice i3 in it to get stuff done quick, and it's a little smaller for better portability like you mentioned.
