Good morning, everyone!

I recently acquired an ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z from Newegg, and I was able to install Windows 8 on an Intel 335 Series 80 GB SSD with a random SATA optical drive. The install was flawless.

However, I also have installed onto the system two Seagate drives, one being a Barracuda 6.0 Gb/s 1 TB drive, the other being the same, but a 500 GB drive. The BIOS and Windows 8 recognizes neither of these. I tried goofing with the jumpers on the drives to limit them to 1.5 Gb/s, but to no avail. I tried setting the SATA preferences to IDE, RAID (just for fun), and then back to AHCI. I can't see the two additional drives on either of these settings.

System preferences:

Motherboard: ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z

CPU: AMD FX 8350

RAM: G.SKILL Sniper 8 GB (4 GB x 2) 1600 Mhz

Boot Drive: Intel 335 Series 80 GB

Other Drives: Seagate Barracuda 6.0 Gb/s 500 GB and 1 TB

I even tried a WD Black at 1 TB which wasn't recognized either. Any ideas?

Solution
Hope you packed off the Corsair, was it under warranty? I'd contact them and complain, a fualy PSU frying components - a little compensation may be in order

Hi! So, I've actually resolved the issue.

In response to your question, I have the latest BIOS and I've also reset CMOS. The problem was that my PSU was literally frying every HDD I plugged in. Lousy Corsair PSUs....

Thanks for your response, though! I appreciate it!
