Hi guys, i bought a new laptop a couple of days ago and im trying it out by playing some games to see which it can handle and stuff.

However, i have both Nvidia GT 720M and Intel HD graphics 4000.

When im playing Deus EX human revolution, my GPU temperature for the Nvidia 720M goes up to 80-85°C and the fan goes all crazy... But when im using intel HD graphics 4000 its around 52-59°C.

Why does the fan goes all crazy when im playing the game and is that a normal temperature for the nvidia 720M???

My laptop specs are
Asus X550CC
- Intel® Core™ i5-3337U
- 6 GB DDR3 RAM
- 750 GB HDD
- Nvidia Geforce GT 720M + Intel HD graphics 4000

How much °C is normal for the graphic card (Nvidia 720M)??

Becuase my CPU goes up to 65-69 while playing the game, its the GPU im worried about

give something, at average how many °C is normal for the GPU on a laptop???

again average temp depends on how the cooling is from the manufacturer. the 720m is a mild gpu, so if you are pushing it hard, its gonna heat up. 80-85 degrees is hot, but i wouldnt think its going to hurt it. most laptops get air from the bottom of the unit, are you sitting there with this on your lap? possibly blocking airflow?

one recommendation i could make is get a laptop cooler. its like a platic pad it sits on, with fans to help circulate air. back in the day i used to play wow on an old p4 laptop, and that thing would sit in my lap with no cooler, and get pretty hot. but i used it like that for years and it never shutdown due to hear or melted.
