Sapphire HD 7770 overheating

I have a HD 7770 running at stock
clocks and 100% fan speed. But
the gpu temperature is too high
i.e. 87c with fc3,89 with dirt 3, 96c
with furmark and 105c with msi
kombuster d3d11 test. I tried to replace the paste but nothing changed, please
help.....
p.s-ambient temp. is 30c

Agreed, the core is defective and is running waaaaay too hot for a card of that type.

Thanks for the quick reply but unlike the vaporx the 7770s now just come with a heatsink fan. Check the link to be sure.

Yes, though they may find out you opened it to reapply the thermal compound, and if it isn't covered under warranty for you to do that they won't replace it.

Even at that temp. it isnt showing any artifacts. So would they accept the return? Ive purchased from a local retailer.

Well your temps are about 40C higher than they should be so yes they should have to.

Those are benchmarks of the vaporx card. But, mine has just a heatsink.
