In my rig I have a NVIDIA GTX 460 GPU that's been in there for about 2 and half years. It was great at first for my games (first person, third person shooters and simulators) but it's became a bit taxed churning out frame rates especially with Spinter Cell: Blacklist. Especially when I run it and other games with my 27 inch monitor in NVIDIA's 3D mode.

So for my upgrading should I purchase another GTX 460 to run them in SLI or just run a single NVIDIA 6 series or maybe even a low level 7 series card?

I don't want to spend over $200.

Thanks
-James

Rig specs:
i7 CPU 920 @ 2.6 Ghz
6 GB's DDR3 Ram @ 1600Mhz
NVIDIA GTX 460
GigaByte X58A-UD3R
Windows 7 Pro 64bit

Push for a GTX760 @ 260$, MASSIVE upgrade.

If not an HD7950 @ 200$ which is very close to the GTX760 in performance.

Hi - You didn't list your PSU (brand/Model), so SLI might not be an option for you.
The gtx660 is a significant improvement over the 460 and can be had for < $200:

Thanks you all. PSU is a 1000 watt Corsair.

I need to stick with NVIDIA because of compatibility issues with my 27' ASUS monitor which is geared as an NVIDIA 3D monitor.

Plenty of power to SLI if you wish.

660Ti and your 460 as a PhysX card = upgrade.
