game and windows lock ups

hi all

today i openend my pc case and checked how much dust there was inside it and i cleaned the case on the outside with vacuum cleaner, didnt toch the parts with it and now my games lock up, did i do damage with static electicity? or is that inpossible, thnx for the help

Try running checkdisk, some of your file may have been corrupted and it might be able to recover them.

Never us a vacuum, its not just about touching, the hose usually has a static field around it so even getting close can be an issue. Think of a balloon with static, you don't have to touch a persons head to get the hair to stand up.

Best to use cans of compressed air or an air compressor to blow the dust out.

Agreed. It is VERY easy to ruin a computer with a vacuum cleaner.
