I think some of your hardware is getting hot. A good tool to monitor temps are SpeedFan, MSI afterburner and CoreTemp. Check the temps when the lag comes. (FPS spikes are good, Lag spikes are bad :))

Ok so I downloaded and installed speedfan and coretemp. I have them both running in background atm without WoW running. here are my temps and what not.
Temperatures and loads:
Processor core #0 42C (5% - 80%
Processor core #1 45C (12% - 91%
Gpu fan speed 39% temp 38C. This is steady with fluctuation.

The loads are fluctuating from really low numbers to really high numbers leads me to believe thats where fps drops are coming from. But idk thats just a guess. Im sure you know a lot more about it than I do and probably even how to fix it.

This is with WoW running

Processor core #0 40C (23%-65%
Processor core #1 36C (0% -69%
Gpu fan speed 39% temp 51C

From what I can see from the speedfan app. Everything looks good except the temp on my gpu.
I turned the fan speed up from 39% to 70%. What should I do?

On gpu info without game running. I meant steady WITHOUT fluctuation.

I opened the side of the tower and placed a small desk fan facing the video card to help with cooling and turned up the fan speed on the gpu from 39% to 74% and now it runs great. I think it just needs more cooling. The desk fan is just a temporary fix. I dont like having to do it like that, is there some other permanent option I can go with?? Also I have to keep speedfan running at all times to keep the gpu fan speed at 74%. Is there also something else I can do to permanently fix this??

If you have a custom-built pc, then just buy some more case fans. If you bought a pre-built, store bought pc, I dont think there is any extra way. If you install MSI afterburner you can set the fan speed. You have to unclick auto fan speed, then set the speed, and click apply. You should hear the fans spinning up.
