I've been having this issue where my computer is shutting off, under any type of load, but its not actually shutting off. Everything stays on. Fans, HDD's, pump, GPU fan, but then a light next to the CPU turns on and my monitor goes off.

As far as I know, nothing is overheating, and the CPU is brand new, as of a week or so ago, and has given me no problems till yesterday.

Here are my computer's specs:
AMD FX-8350 (not overclocked at all)
M5A99FX PRO R2.0
2x4GB DDR3 GSkill @ 2200
GTX 570

If anyone has had a similar issue, or has any recommended remedies I would highly appreciate it!

Solution
One of the AMD FX-8350 key architectural features is that it supports 1866MHz memory with 1 DPC (DIMM per Channel). You wrote that you are trying to use "GSkill @ 2200".

I tried that, and I tried a different CPU as well. Both are actually no longer booting, it posts, it loads windows, and then the screen goes blank and the cpu led turns on.

I did that as well, temps are all well within acceptable range. Sadly, I don't know anyone with a PSU I could borrow, any other suggestions?

Also, last night, I completely took the computer apart and reassembled it, hoping that would be a fix, but no such luck.

Its not, that is one of the older things left in the computer, I just don't want to go out and buy a new PSU if thats not the issues. The problems that its giving me is leaning my towards the motherboard that is the problem, as two different processors give the same problem, but the first one wasn't giving me this issue till I swapped to the new one.

I'll be doing that!

Oh...and that would cause the processor light to turn on, on the motherboard and the screen to go black like that? What if I used ram under 1866, or do I need to specifically use 1866?
Thank you!

Update:
Did some research on the ram issue, and came up with this post:
http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1726329/ram-amd-8350-vishera.html
And this table:
http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/ddr3memoryfrequencyguide.aspx

If I were to downclock my ram to 1600, it seems like that may cause it to work, but I'm not sure if I need to take it out of dual channel mode or not...
