System is a HP Pavilion p6243w (http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c01852859).

Getting a no video signal on the monitor when trying to start the system. Have tried putting a video card in, different ram and a different monitor and cables.

Decided to order a new motherboard (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157309). Received the board and installed it. Used the old processor, ram, power supply, heatsink/fan, hard drive and dvd-rom. On boot I have the same issue. No video going to the monitor. As of this point I have tried different ram, monitor, and starting pc with no ram, hard drive, or dvd-rom plugged in.

Could this maybe be an issue caused by the power supply?

The original system was using on-board video only when the problem started. After the initial troubleshooting (changing monitors and ram) I tested using both an ATi 4670 and a nVidia 7300LE.

I am currently only using the on-board video with the new motherboard. The system will not have a video card put in it.

I was NOT using a video card when the initial no video received problem happened. I only attempted to try a video card later on after the other changes I mentioned in the original post.

I then purchased a new motherboard (link in original post) and I will only be using the on-board video. NO VIDEO CARD. But I am still having the same issue as when the previous motherboard was in the system.

The only parts that are the same from the original computer now are the processor and power supply. Could either of those be causing this issue?
