Hi, i want to know what changes between the different WD5000BPVT - XXXXXX Western Digital Hard disks .

I have an WD5000BPVT - 22HXZT3 that suffered a fall and damaged it's head, and now i need other HD with the same disk geometry (and the same LBA size) so i can open both HD's and put the disk of the damaged one on the new HD, to read the data and save it in an third HD (That i already have).

I already did it with two identical SP0842N and it worked.

The problem is that i can't find any other WD5000BPVT - 22HXZT3 to buy here on Brazil, i even found it on e-bay, but they don't sell them to Brazil, but here i found other WD5000BPVT - XXXXXXX HD's, and i want to know: What changes between them? Do them have the exact same LBA size?

The DCM (Drive Configuration Matrix) is important when matching mechanical parts.

The model number suffix is the Customer Configuration Code.
