ive installed windows on a new ssd, but still have it installed on my old hard disk. How do i remove windows on my old hard disk without deleting all the data on it? i plan on using the old hdd for a storage drive.
Use Disk Cleanup (Windows 7) on the hard drive containing the old windows installation. Alternatively Just Delete the Windows Folder on the older hard drive.
uHmmm.
C: is usually assigned to the drive you booted from. If you are sure the old drive is c: then yes simply delete the folder. You may wish to visit disk management (run diskmgmt.msc) and you will be able to see which drive is assigned to what letter.

Yes C: is the boot drive, but its not partitioned, my mistake when i fist built my computer. So i just delete the windows folder, set primary boot drive as ssd via bios, then everything's good?
Delete Windows folder and boot files in root directory
To do this i would just go Computer>C:>Windows
I just delete that file?
Well if you now booting from SSD, that is now ya C:\drive no ? So whatever lettre the HD is now
OMG cant believe i didnt see that coming, im posting messages via laptop so i totally forgot the letter-to-drive change. Cool ill do that right now. THANKS MAN!
