frezzes at completing instalation

win 7 freezes at completing installation on acer aspire 5100 win 7 was installed and runing good before but after some soda spilled on laptop n messed up win 7 and when tried to reinstall it keeps frezzeing at end... installed xp instead and i tried diff harddrives but sme issue ...

XP installed fine?

I thought you are getting same issue even with XP and another HDD.

Since the problem can not be traced to a specific component you can not know what is causing trouble. I still highly recommend taking system to a technician and not to take any risks from your side since a laptop is more delicate than a PC and its components are not easily available.

But it all comes down to your choice. I can just give my opinion and hope that someone more knowledgeable than me can help you out in this.

then how come xp installs ok couldnt i just disconnect the hardware causing it
