Hello everyone,

I'm at final stages of building my rig, I want to OC it up to the highest known stable frequency.
Your help is very much appreciated, here are the things I'm looking for.

1. All the cons you can point out about this rig.
2. Better alternatives and if there is a place to buy the parts cheaper.
3. Max stable OC value possible for the CPU, GPU and RAM.
4. My first time trying out a water cooling solution, XSPC was recommended to me, what are you thoughts on this one? Is this any good? Anything better you can suggest?
5. At some points in the future I will add SLI, hence the reason I chose a good PSU.
6. Ram is too much, I know but it's a personal choice and I really like it. I Thought about corsair but the issue is the colour RED, which goes with my rig.
7. Motherboard: I really like the look and the features of this one + water cooling for the board itself. Please let me know if you have something better in mind.
8. I'm not happy with the SSD and HDD just chose and put it there as reference. Do you guys think choosing 128GB SSD + 2x 1TB + 1X 2TB is a better choice? Let me know what other combination you think is better? I'd would use SSD primarily for Windows 8 + 10-12 programs. There is 480GB OCZ Vertex 2 3.5" SATA 3GB/s for £155.99, which is not fast but how much of a compromise are we talking about when it comes to cold boot?
9. How is thill build looking in terms of Hackintosh?
10. Not too sure if I need the ODD, was looking for a 50 in 1 reader.
11. Is there still problem with COSMOS 2 fan controller?

Thanks a lot for taking the time to read this, your help is much appreciated.

-Your MoBo choice is one I can get 100% behind....love that board.

-Peeps can drop to the 4670k if just a gaming box.... but ytou should keep the i7 for CAD, video editing, etc

- I am not a fan of the SC series from EVGA (typically just a stock PCB and weak VRM) . If ya doing WC, might wanna buy the GPUs Water Block pre-equipped ....

Id also think about waiting or the Asus Poseidon which was designed to go with the Maximus VI Formula
http://www.tomshardware.com/news/Asus-ROG-GTX-770-Poseidon,22899.html

-Unless you doing CS6, CAD, video editing, etc, Id stop at 16GB and leave two memory slots free to ease the load on CPU memory controller for better OCs

-Corsair HX series is a great line.....except for the 1000 and 1050 watters.

Look at the Seasonic X series.....

-Id get the 7200.14

-I'd get the Asus Burner if for no other reason that if ya gotta call tech support for any windows install ya MoBo, they can't blame "other manufacturer".

-I'd suggest the new Enthoo over the Cosmos 2 .... cheaper too

Ya gonna need more than that single loop for GPU and CPU

You will need (3) 140mm fans for the GPU loop and (2) for the CPU loop....can consider later if ya want push-pull.

If ya case cant mount 140's .... then change to 360 and 240 rads.... The Enthoo can

Accessories..... fluid ....distilled water recommended .... if ya must have color look at the Mayhem pastel stuff....think about biocides and corrosion inhibiter additives.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to do this, it's really appreciated.

Yes, it's so amazing and had me all in after reading through what it offers.

Yes, it will be heavily used for both gaming and video editing.

I'd loved to have that card, it would have completed the water cooling set but unfortunately they are not available in the UK :(. I spent a lot fo time trying to find one, but there is none.

Yes, I read about that too but it was only about GTX 770? I watched a few videos about it and some say it might come out in September but I'm not sure if it would be available in the UK. If I could find a water cooled 780 like the one you mentioned, then I'd have nothing to worry about.

This will be used for both video editing and gaming as well as university projects, so I think it's a great choice to stay with 32gb 2400mhz despite the fact that it's CL10.[/quotemsg]

Do you think it would be better if I go for 850 watts then? I think at most I'll have two 780s running side by side and that's it.

This one seems great and it's fully modular, it's a little expensive in the UK priced at £200 :O, which comes to be about $315

Thanks, I will use this instead,

Good point but I'll be able to find anything I need online and download it off the internet?
I made a Win 8 bootable USB stick so I won't have to deal with the DVD any more.

Looks really solid and it seems great, I'll check it out and get back to you if I had any questions.

I'm so grateful for all the efforts you have put into this, I will write back with the final list once it's done.
