Hey everyone! I'm going to buy a new GPU within the next couple of days... And I'm not quite sure which to go for... I don't really care for the 8 free games, so I won't take it into considartion... I just want to know which of the two is the better card and why.
Cons of both cards
Pros of both cards
Any problems with either one of them?

A 14% FPS boost, for more money, more noise, more heat, more power, no upgrade path as its already dual GPU and most importantly, Crossfire issues. The 13.8 drivers only fixes DX11 games, DX9 and 10 are totally unaffected, as are multi monitor setups. Add to this the fact that a 14% FPS boost from a 780 will take you 10 seconds to achieve in Afterburner, and the relatively 'meh' overclocking of dual GPU cards, and the choice is pretty obvious.

Not even slightly worth it.

The 7790 is better, as its 2 7970s together. But it's $350 more, uses more power, and is probably louder.

The 780 is quieter, not as powerful but still good enough to run most games at max 1080p. And uses less power.

I'd still go for those free games if I were you, but didn't the free games bundle end already?

I'd go with the GTX-780. A more "elegant" solution I would call and should be a lot more silent.

As Kobortor said, the 7990 is two cards on one and draws a lot of power and has a reputation to be noisy. But of course it's very powerful, if you only want raw power.

No, the bundle hasn't ended, and it's a 40 euro(€) difference, not 350 lol.

I don't agree, with only a 14% performance advantage over the GTX-780 I would avoid it. The 7990 will consume a lot more power, has a reputation to be very noisy, plus it's two gpus on one card (so it's like internal Crossfire) with all the problems that can come with it, less stable drivers, stuttering, some games not well optimized for it, etc...

To me it's a no brainer, I would go with the GTX-780 without hesitation.

Oh sorry, I didn't check the prices recently, it was $1000 a few weeks ago.
