Does anyone know how to access the msata port on the Toshiba Satellite P70? I want to add a msata drive but I am not sure how to get to the port.

I have a custom Satellite P70-ABT2G22 (model P70-A PSPLPU-04F014). It was an option when I ordered it but I forgot to check the box for it so I was wanting to add it after the fact if possible.

Hey 3DnTechNut....

I'm thinking about buying the version you got.... Have you played any "intensive" games yet for at least an hour?
On the X70's the gaming version of this laptop people report system/heat caused failures with the 770 GPU.

This one has the 740 GPU, so I'm thinking it shouldn't be as bad, but still, it's a strong gaming GPU and I'm thinking the problems may still occur?

What are your thoughts so far with it? Thanks

I have not done any gaming on this machine but I have used it for long periods running Terragen 2.5 and 3 to render large 3D worlds with Global Illumination and it does release a lot of heat from the exhaust port on the right side but I have not had any failures of any kind. I have added the MSATA drive and a 1TB drive to go with the 750GB drive that came with it.

I would highly recommend if you can within the next two days before the sale ends to find a couple of the highest graphic games you can find, and they play them for at least 45 min's a couple of times over the next two days, so you can find out if you have a problem. You don't want to find out later when you can no longer return it.

It would also help us out in the world to know if we can trust it.

Thanks much....

Please please please.....

Will you test for us? The sale is pretty much going on, just a couple dollars more, and I've actually saved a quote for the original sale, so I can still save a couple of bucks. But I only have about 10 days left.

Please push your system for us as I recommend, download some online games like WarFrame etc., and play them every other day for like 45 minutes and see if the system will crash. I'm thinking I might want to save money and get this, but I just can't risk it again if it's not a good computer.

Thanks

Please please could you test.....?

Or, if you can't, could you at least take the back off the laptop and tell us if the Wireless card is accessible?
I would like to put in a Dual-band card if I get this laptop and it turns out to handle the heat well.

Thanks
