I would just make sure to get a 2GB version of the card you choose, I just recently upgraded from the EVGA GTX 550 Ti FPB 1GB to the XFX Radeon 7850 Ultra OC Edition 1GB and am regretting it already because BF3 wants more than 1GB of Vmem to run ultra so I am forced to run on High Settings with a few occasional hits to my FPS so i am going to have to double up cards to pump the game out @ 1680x1050.

UPDATE: Turns out it was not my GPU holding me back, just popped my hexa core from 2900mhz to 3500 mhz with a 2500mhz NB and I am running on Ultra now with the 1GB version.

Also, adding another 1gb 7850 will not make your vRAM 2gb. they act as a single card and only run 1gb RAM. Same as if you had crossfire 7970s. You would only have 3gb vRAM not 6gb. The vRAM does not double when adding another card.

Huh did not know that, I just figured as it added the second GPU to the work load that it would offer its Vmem up and combine just like stacking stick of ram into extra slots. I should be fine to run ultras double though shouldn't I or did I just screw myself here for BF4 being I popped a custom cooler and mem heat spreaders on the card the day I bought it lol.

Honestly you kind of screwed yourself. BF4 specifically states that 2gb VRAM is needed for high+ settings and even with the GPU power of 2 7850's, you will bottleneck on the textures and not likely be able to run it on ultra. Sorry man. High settings will probably be fine, but many new and upcoming games will need the extra vRAM. This did not used to be the case, but MANY games now benefit form the Vram.

There is no way to make more than 1gb vRAM using your 7850. Adding another card is a waste of money. You should just sell it and buy a 2gb version. Cut your losses.

edit: also unless you have very high end motherboard with bost PSI express lanes running 16x and ability to tun 8x/8x, you will see little to no benefit from a second card in crossfire.

Oh if you already have the 8350 well than ya don't upgrade. Anyways I don't think it will "max out" everything, but you can play on very high settings. Also i5-3570k is better, AMD redefined what a core is so don't think having eight cores makes it faster.
